Vanishing
February 10, 2012
It seems that things just keep vanishing. Now, HE tells me that I’m a BIG dog now that I’m eleven months old, so I guess I’ve seen a lot of things. I remember a time when the world was warm, there were leaves on the trees and the world was a colourful place in all it’s reds, greens, browns and yellows – but now, the trees have no leaves, it’s cold, and it just seems to be dark for so much longer. Everythng’s grey. What’s happening to the world?
But something new happened just the other day. ALL the colour in the world vanished overnight! I got up to have a sniff at the big glass door and the whole world had turned WHITE! Everything was white.
The young humans seemed very excited about this when they appeared in the morning. He let me out into the garden for my usual morning routine and I found that the reason for the white was because everything was covered in some kind of soft white dirt. It was cold, and tasted interesting and incredible fun to jump about in. I think that this is a definate improvement over the grey.
Later that morning, the young humans came out with me for my walk and we had some fantastic fun playing with the white stuff. They were throwing it about and sliding around, even making balls out of it for me to catch and crunch up.
A couple of days later and it had all gone, just disappeared overnight like so many other things – is this what is going to happen to the whole world? Does everything just dissapear? Even my purple rope toy seems to be getting smaller and smaller.
But today, the white stuff is back again. I looked out of the window and I can share a secret with you. I know where the white stuff comes from! It comes out of the sky!

MAX’S DAD SAYS: Thanks everyone for their interest and support for Max after his accident. It’s really heartwarming to see SO many people sending their love and support. Everyone we meet in the street when out for a walk wants to know his story.
A special thanks to my parents who stepped in at the crucual moment to lend us the money to pay for Max’s operation and ultimately save his life. I’d agreed to repay the money from the proceeds of an offshoot from my small business, that publishes science fiction eBooks: sci-fi-cafe.com and thanks to all our readers, the first repayment to my parents is ready to send.

I LOVE snow! You are so lucky. My dumb humans keep running from it whenever it falls and now I”m stuck in the SAND all winter.
Have some fun for me!
